Remembered that the pool opens at 7, I lay in bed and wondered if the Lord had plans for me to swim; when I got up out of bed I felt the sweet familiar fire burning in me -- time to go!
SWIM
- DURATION:35m
- DISTANCE:900.00 yards
- PACE:03m 54s /100 yards
- TIME:7:10 AM
The pool is outside in a frame of palm trees. I'm not sure how big it is: I counted 45 steps long while I was delaying getting in--turns out such delay was folly because the pool was HOT! Like bath water! In fact in was almost too hot as I got into my swim!
Right away I felt my muscles exhausted from a hard swim run yesterday , so I granted myself permission to take a long leisurely swim. I never really got into full speed; just dilly-dallied my way through 30 laps, 35 minutes.
About five minutes into my swim, while I was still marveling at my luck at having such a heated pool available, the sun burst over the horizon. I knew this because as I gazed at the palm trees above the pool while back stroking, the tops of the trees suddenly were lit up with fiery dawn rays. Magnificent!
As I swam, an army of cleaning workers swarmed around the pool and grounds, sweeping and scrubbing. I really like this place!
Got a pleasantly hot shower: Theresa's up and we're heading for the Hollywood sign and the Sprinkles Cupcake ATM!
